One IKODOO Buds DECENT FIRST ATTEMPT, BUT CAN DO BETTER: TWS EARBUDS REVIEW

One IKODOO Buds DECENT FIRST ATTEMPT, BUT CAN DO BETTER: TWS EARBUDS REVIEW

Ikodoo also has a product called Buds Z, but that is an entry-level item, so we wont discuss it further in this review. Returning to the Buds One, it does have some additional capabilities in addition to those found on its OnePlus cousin. But can that result in an equivalent or superior performance? Lets investigate.

Pros:
– Sounds much better after a lot of tweaking
– 10-band equaliser to create custom sound profiles
– Comfortable in-ear fit, compact charging case
– Decent battery life, wireless charging support
– IP55 dust and fluid resistance
– In-ear detection, volume control on the buds

Cons:
– Default sound output is incredibly dull and lacks detail
– Erratic ANC; Transparency mode could have been better
– Pricing needs to be more competitive

Price: Rs 4,999
Rating: 3.5/5

The buds are not very distinctive in appearance; they have stems like all other TWS buds. Here, the stems are a little bit longer than they have been in prior years for this segment. Even if I can put up with the tall stems, their glossy, shiny polish gives them a plasticky appearance. For review, we received the grey version, which partially conceals the smudge traces. The contact zones on the rear of the buds are not clearly defined, but they are also not difficult to identify. Despite the buds being fairly light, the construction is quite strong.

Even better, the oval-shaped case has a smooth matte surface, a small footprint, and is pocketable yet not being overly hefty. The front of the device features a charge status LED, a USB-C port for charging, and a Bluetooth pairing/reset button. Next to the port is something else that appears to be an IR receiver, but its actually a speaker that beeps when the app tries to locate the case. Additionally, the case allows wireless charging with Qi-certified chargers, which the OnePlus Buds Z2 do not have.

The charging case does not have ingress protection, but the Buds Z2 case does, despite the fact that the buds are IP55-rated dust and splash resistant. The earphones silicone tips fit well.

the buds are cosy to wear for extended periods of time, and they provide good passive noise isolation in the ear canals. During a workout or jog, they dont pop out of the ear because to the snug fit. In case the preinstalled medium-sized tips dont fit comfortably, there are two additional sets of ear tips in the package.

The Ikodoo Buds One have three microphones for calling and active noise cancellation (ANC), as well as a 13.4 mm dynamic driver in each earbud to handle all frequency ranges. Additionally, you have wear detecting sensors that pause the audio when you take out a bud and resume it when you re-insert it. The ear buds recognise touch-and-hold, double-tap, and triple-tap motions. You may.
